  • Antonella Stirati is currently full professor of Economics at Roma Tre University. She obtained her economics degrees at the University of Siena (laurea), Cambridge (M.Phil) and Rome La Sapienza (Ph.D). Her research interests are in the development of the Surplus and Keynesian approaches, particularly in the fields of macroeconomics, employment, income distribution. She has published a book on The Theory of Wages in Classical Economics (Elgar, 1994), co-edited Sraffa and the Reconstruction of Economic Theory, (3 volumes, Palgrave-Macmillan, 2013) and published a number of articles on international academic journals (including Cambridge Journal of Economics, European Journal of the History of Economic Thought; Journal of Evolutionaty Economics; Review of Keynesian Economics; Review of Political Economy; Structural Change and Economic Dynamics) and collected volumes. Her article Inflation, Unemployment and Hysteresis was selected as one of the best 25 articles published on the Review of Political Economy since the journal was first issued. She is the President the Italian Association for the History of Political Economy (Storep); a member of INET’s academic council and associate editor of Review of Political Economy. She is also active in scientific divulgation and public debates and co-edits the Italian on-line journal Economia e Politica.
