About Me

Beatriz is a business historian, lecturer (Profesora Tiempo Completo) at Universidad del Pacífico (Perú) and member of the History, Business and Entrepreneurship (GHE) research group of Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). Doctor in Business and Management (2021) from Queen Mary University of London (UK) holds degrees of Economics (BSc, 2003) from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) and Economic History (MSc, 2010) from London School of Economics and Political Science (UK). Beatriz specializes in business history. More specifically, her current research focuses on the evolution of the business system from the second half of the twentieth century in Latin America, with a special emphasis in the entrepreneurial families and business groups in Colombia and working papers on Perú and Uruguay. However, her interests span to economic history and entrepreneurship topics, as her past reviews for the NEPHIS Blog and her current membership of the Centre for Globalisation Research (CGR) of the School of Business and Management de Queen Mary University of London show. She has been student representative of 2016 PhD cohort and Economic History Society (EHS) student ambassador for QMUL. She is currently a member of the Business History Collective, collaborates with the REHE bulletin and is member of the Emerging Scholars Committee of the BHC.
