The D-Econ Padlet

Welcome to the D-Econ padlet!

This padlet is an effort to make resources related to decolonizing economics available to a wider audience. We have chosen to start with a few select themes, but hope to develop this into a bigger resource with time. We would never be able to exhaustively put together all resources related to Decolonizing Economics and the selection of these initial resources are certainly influenced by the orientation of each contributor to the padlet. We make no claims about this being a comprehensive guide, but we hope it can serve as an opportunity for those who are curious to learn more about decolonization to consider this one starting place for further engagement. Perhaps this can be avenue for reforming a part of curricula, shaping a research idea, using this for collective organizing or for reflection in our own personal capacity.

We recognize that decolonizing economics is a contested, and constantly evolving conversation. For more on D-Econ’s thoughts around this, please take a look at our mission statement. The different subsections (please scroll to the side to see the different subsections), should not be seen as a definitive or exhaustive guide to any specific topic. If you would like to comment, critique or contribute (or struggle to access a resource) please email us at info@d-econ.org.
