I am an historian of Southern African Economic and Financial History. My work looks at issues tanging from the origins and development of colonial and postcolonial monetary systems, informal economic networks and examining the ways in which economic thinking in African contexts has influenced the adoption of certain economic policies in African countries. I have taught at Universities in Zimbabwe and South Africa. I am currently working in the Department of Historical and Heritage Studies at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
